The West Oakland Mural Project
West Oakland Mural Project is: A Mural and Museum honoriong The Women of The Black Panther Party. The Mural is a 2000-square-foot public art masterpiece, painted by Rachel Wolfe Goldsmith installed on a private home in the heart of West Oakland, CA. Envisioned and curated by long time Oaklander Jilchristina Vest, this mural and museum recognizes and honors the role of the Panther Women and the over 65 Community Survival Programs they created and managed.
This project is to remind us that a group young humanitarians, gathered to protect and better the lives of Black, poor and oppressed people throughout the world.
Our History Is The Study of What We Did, Not The Study Of What Was Done To Us.
